Sweet Dreams Crochet Baby Blanket

Hey makers, this is one of my favorite patterns, took me about a month to design and get all of this on camera, but it was so much worth it!!!

I often look at this blanket and it gives me so much joy knowing that I made this myself and the feeling is second to none. So I wanna share this with all of you so you can make your own versions of this pattern and feel the same joy and pride I did.

For my lovely YouTube fam and for all visual learners I have an entire playlist showing you the row by row pattern so head over to my YOUTUBE channel – check it out and lets get hooked ๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿ˜˜

And for everyone else who would like to have a written pattern, here is the entire pattern and instructions:

Supply List :

Caron Simply Soft in color Persimmon (orange)ย

Caron Simply Soft in color Soft Pink(used for the word “Sweet” and the border)

Caron Simply Soft in color Soft Green(Used for the word “Dreams”)

Other than the yarn you would need

Stitches Used :
ch – chain stitch. (yarn over | pull through)
sc – single crochet. (insert your hook | pull up a loop | yarn over | pull through both loops on the hook)
bob – Bobble stitch – 4 dc done halfway in the same stitch (*yarn over | insert your hook | pull up a loop | pull through first 2 * | Repeat * to * 3 times | yarn over | pull through 5 loops on hook )

Measurements:

Finished afghan size (with border) ~ 30 inch(length) x 29.5 inch (width)
* Finished size is of the afghan made using the materials listed above. The size may vary if a different yarn, hook, or gauge is used.

Notes :

โ†’ The blanket can be made with any yarn and a complimentary hook size. I used 3 complementary
shades but you can very well use 1 or multiple shades as you wish. I would however recommend using any yarn that has a good coverage – which means it doesnโ€™t create gaps when you crochet so any medium weight acrylic yarn would best suit this pattern.
โ†’ The concept of this pattern is to make bobble stitches on the wrong side of the blanket so they pop-up on the right side.
โ†’ Every even row is a plain row of single crochet in every stitch and you should get 130 single crochets on every even row.
โ†’ Pattern is written for right-handed crocheting.
โ†’ All terms are mentioned in US crochet terms.
โ†’ A pipe character (|) is used just to generate some space on the page and doesnโ€™t represent any stitch.

Okay then, letโ€™s start making this beautiful baby blanket ! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ˜ƒ
